Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Forensic Investigator to lead and oversee digital forensic examinations, analyze evidence, and provide expert guidance in supporting cybersecurity investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Digital Forensic Leadership:
- Lead and manage digital forensic examinations on various devices and digital media, including computers, mobile devices, and servers.
- Set the direction for forensic investigations and establish best practices.
- Evidence Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of digital evidence, including logs, files, and network traffic, to identify relevant information and patterns.
- Provide expert opinions and insights based on forensic findings.
- Data Recovery:
- Utilize advanced forensic tools and techniques to recover data from damaged or corrupted digital media.
- Extract and analyze data from storage devices.
- Case Management:
- Manage and coordinate digital forensic investigations from inception to conclusion.
- Ensure adherence to established forensic procedures and protocols.
- Reporting and Testimony:
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation of forensic findings and analysis.
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings as needed.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes for forensic examinations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Mentor and train junior forensic investigators.
- Tool Expertise:
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in digital forensic tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools for the forensic toolkit.
- Case Support:
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity and investigative teams to support complex cybercrime investigations.
- Assist in identifying cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Computer Science, or a related field (relevant certifications or coursework is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Senior Forensic Investigator with a strong track record of successful forensic examinations.
- Expert knowledge of digital forensics, including evidence handling, analysis, and preservation.
- Proficiency in using advanced forensic tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
